In order to see this project live to its potential we need the help of talented individuals looking to contribute. Yes, we pay contributors of solicited material. Which means that we will work with people on a contract basis. See our Commisions page for more information. We are not in the position to bring on any full-time employees. However there are some amazing opportunities -- let me explain.
I envision that the web database of Source Material will be open to the public soon. Once you have contributed a significant number of items for a particular setting, of an excellent quality, we may consider locking your source material into a separate pay-to-browse section. Your entire campaign setting would be accessed by those interested by your free material. I haven't got the details figured out, but this could be an excellent stream of revenue for someone if it takes off. Yes, this is a down-the-road thing. You could also publish the traditional way with source material that leverages the Epic Fantasy ruleset. You could publish your source material both in D20 and Epic Fantasy format. Like the OGL (open Game License) you would be free to publish source material so long as you don't reproduce the rules of the core book.
We are also arranging an ART contest for High School Students with a grand prize of $1,000 for the winning submission. If you are an artist and want to get published in a Role-Playing Game, this could be your dream come true. We may be doing something in the near future with source material : People, Places, Maps, Races, Orders, Guilds, Skills, Artifacts, Events, Epic Poems. With any contributions, you will always receive credit for your submissions.
